Perpetual Doom Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Comedic Short Film Series

Perpetual Doom, a group of artists exploring the darkly comedic side of society, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their new short film series.

Perpetual Doom is a group that "explores humor in instability and the comic absurdity of damaged characters in a decaying society."  Now, this troupe of artists has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a new comedic short film series.  Located at www.perpetualdoom.com, the group focuses on unusual stories culled from real-life experiences as well as common fears and anxieties.  The group is "all at once ugly, beautiful, funny and sad."

So far, the group has been responsible for several short films, including With Totino's, You're Never Alone, the story of a young man with an obsession for frozen pizza rolls; Say You Wanna Dance, a tribute to the late Whitney Houston; and Vom-Pocket, the first short film in the Perpetual Doom Presents series.

The Kickstarter campaign, located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/696940623/perpetual-doom-presents-a-darkly-comedic-short-fil, will raise funds to produce two new short films:  The Medium Touch, a "horror-comedy hybrid that takes the paranormal investigation reality TV format and incorporates elements of classic cooking shows and dramatizations of real events," and I'm Your Guy, which focuses on actor Lionel Guy, televisions Detective Dingus, and his reappearance in public life.

The team, which consists of Louis Crisitello, Jr., John Nobbs, Pam Nobbs, Rosie Parsons, Mike Castronova, John Chludzinski, Eric Terino and Frank Cole, are offering a number of rewards to donors, including t-shirts, posters and production credits.  For more information on specific rewards associated with individual pledge levels, see the Kickstarter page.
