Nyon, SWITZERLAND – Nov 03, 2014 – Many developers have created apps that utilize technology to allow one to make calls and text for free, but each app has its limitations and if one chooses to use one of those apps to make international and domestic calls, suddenly their phone becomes a payment terminal taking money out of their account in large amounts. A Swiss development team has developed a phone app to change all that and has launched an Indiegogo campaign to get it manufactured and into the hands of the public. BBee is a phone app much like Viber or Skype, but without their fees saving callers nearly 50%.
The app works much like Skype or Viber. One is able to place calls or send texts over an internet connection for free. the aspect that makes BBee unique is that they charge per second rather than per minute and their functionality of credit transfer, if a user chooses to make a paid landline or mobile connection, the way it is charged is much different. On Skype, if one makes a 5 minutes 8 second phone call, one is charge first a connection fee and then a fee per minute rounded up to the nearest minute. That's a charge for a connection and then a charge for 6 minutes. On Viber, while there is no connection fee, the charge is still rounded up to the nearest minute so a 5 minute 8 second phone call is charged as six minutes. On BBee, if someone makes a 5 minutes 8 second phone call, they are charged for 5 minutes and 8 seconds. No rounding and no connection fee.
The purpose of this campaign is to allow developers to improve the design and style of the existing application, the development of other services such as stickers and video, and to b able to add other features.They have also allocated a certain portion of the funds to be used for BBee partnerships which will allow the company to offer future discounts to all of their users.
The App programer understands not everyone may be able to give money to help this project, so they ask that those who cannot give monetarily help by spreading the word about BBee online through social media.
