New York, NY. When acoustic rockers SKYFACTOR decided to make a live music video for their newest single “CARRY THE LOAD”, they booked a show at the world-famous Bitter End in New York City and hired the best directors they knew - their fans.
Filmed entirely by members of the audience with nothing but their smartphones – who then uploaded it to the band’s website – SKYFACTOR’s new concert clip debuts this week online and captures the band onstage in all their glory. “As much as we enjoy working in the studio, we’re really a live band that strives to make each show as fun and memorable as possible,” says guitarist Jon Rubin. “So our crowd jumped at the chance to direct this video, with tons of cool angles and interesting ideas that a traditional film crew would have missed.”
The band is celebrating the release of the “Carry The Load” video by returning to THE BITTER END for more live fun on Saturday, May 3rd. As lead singer Bob Ziegler put it: “The Bitter End is our home away from home, and since the new video is so identifiable with this historic nightclub, why not bring our fans back out there for another great night?”
The Bitter End is located at 147 Bleecker St. (between Thompson & LaGuardia - in the heart of Greenwich Village, NYC). Showtime is 9pm, with a $10 admission at the door. Contagious pop-rock hooks and inspired lyrics guaranteed.
“CARRY THE LOAD” is the lead track off the band’s critically-acclaimed new album SIGNAL STRENGTH, which is available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. The fan-shot video – plus all other band and tour info – is available at www.skyfactor.com.
