OLATHE, Kan. - March 11, 2026 - Heartland Soccer Association, the largest U.S. soccer league and tournament host, successfully hosted the sixth annual Midwest College Showcase March 6–8 at the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.
More than 1,000 boys and girls players, ages U-13 through U-19, competed in the event, which provided a focused showcase environment for athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Along with tournament matches, players participated in a combine where they trained with and were evaluated by college coaches, creating a valuable two-way evaluation opportunity for both players and collegiate programs.
The showcase gave players the opportunity to compete in front of college coaches from NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA programs. Coaches were able to attend in person or remotely evaluate talent via VidSport, a platform that live-streams and records games in high-quality footage.
VidSport enhanced the scouting, training, and recruitment process while also allowing families and fans to watch games from anywhere. The Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex, home to the world’s largest fixed AI camera installation, provided coaches across the country the ability to evaluate players in real time from a distance.
“We’re excited to host an event that gives players a platform to compete at a high level and gain exposure to college coaches,” said Dave Morrow, tournament director. “The Midwest College Showcase continues to provide a valuable opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their abilities while connecting with collegiate programs.”
Heartland Soccer’s spring tournament series continues with the Heartland Spring Cup on March 13–15, expected to draw more than 200 teams. Up next is the Kansas City Champions Cup on April 17–19, projected to host more than 400 teams. The series wraps up in May with the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic and the Kansas City Invitational, and teams can still register for both tournaments.
