Former business leader Dan Nguyen and nail salon owner Thien Kim Huynh put their heads together to develop SpaKonect, a customizable enterprise mobile application for salons to increase revenue. Throughout the development process the app morphed into a management tool that enables customers to book appointments, communicate directly with the salon owner, receives promotions and more. The app will be unveiled at the Premiere Orlando International Beauty Event.
"In our beta test, we saw an annualized of $80,000 increase for salons in year one," states Nguyen. "We hope to help more salon owners find freedom and make more customers happy. The [Premiere Orlando] Show is the perfect place to launch the app."
The app nearly gamifies the business operations, which makes it fun and easy to use. "We needed something to help fill the salon during the slow times, so we could serve more people during the busy times. This lead us to an app, which meant we could run the shop remotely. And that lead us to create different (yet connected) versions for salon and spa owners, employees and customers."
"Whatever happens at the show, we're happy how the app has turned out and are working to spread the word about it," states Nguyen.
The Premiere Orlando Show is scheduled to be held at the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center from May 31st through June 2nd. For additional information on the show, visit www.premiereorlandoshow.biz/. To learn more about SpaKonect, visit http://www.dkmobility.com/ or http://www.spakonect.com
