New York, USA - May 28, 2026 - AI Radio Labs, a division of Studio Seven, has introduced a broadcast-trained artificial intelligence model designed to support radio content production and programming workflows.
The announcement was made during Radio Days North America in Toronto this week.
According to the company, the model was trained using more than 47,000 hours of broadcast radio content, including live shows, podcasts, presenter segments, music programming structures, and station imaging. The company says the system was developed to better understand the pacing, formatting, and structure commonly used in radio broadcasting.
AI Radio Labs stated that the model is intended to assist with content generation, presenter scripting, music show formatting, station imaging workflows, and long-form broadcast continuity.
The company also introduced AI Top 40, an AI-assisted chart show project designed to demonstrate the system’s radio programming capabilities. According to the company, the project incorporates automated presenter scripting, music selection support, and imaging integration within a structured radio format.
Studio Seven stated that its operational structure combines human-led production oversight with AI-supported workflow systems intended to improve production efficiency and scalability.
“We let the AI systems handle repetitive workflow tasks so our team can focus more on creative development and production oversight,” said Lydia Brooks, media relations manager at Studio Seven.
At launch, AI Radio Labs disclosed the following technical details about the system:
Approximately 7 billion parameters
Pretrained on broadcast audio datasets
128,000-token context window
Retrieval system integrated across broadcast archives
According to the company, the extended context window is intended to support continuity across longer broadcast sequences, while the retrieval system allows referencing of archived programming structures and formatting patterns.
Studio Seven stated that the AI Radio Labs platform is designed to support broadcasters and media production teams by assisting with programming and operational workflows rather than replacing on-air professionals.
The company says its systems are currently being used in projects related to music programming and station imaging across markets including Europe, the United States, and Australia.
Studio Seven said it plans to continue expanding AI Radio Labs through additional development focused on broadcast production tools, automation systems, and AI-assisted media workflows.
