Paramount Cruises Highlights Growing Demand for Caribbean Cruises Without Visiting the USA
Paramount Cruises reports growing demand for Caribbean cruise itineraries that avoid visiting the United States, with increasing interest in sailings from alternative gateway ports such as Barbados and Puerto Rico, as well as curated land-and-sea travel options across the region.

Paramount Cruises is reporting growing interest in Caribbean cruise itineraries that avoid visiting the United States, as more holidaymakers look for flexible and straightforward ways to explore the region without transiting through US ports such as Florida.

Caribbean cruising remains one of the most popular holiday choices for British travellers, and demand is increasing for itineraries that focus on island destinations and immersive Caribbean experiences rather than mainland stopovers. These sailings allow guests to experience the culture, beaches and landscapes of the Caribbean while simplifying travel requirements and routing.

According to Paramount Cruises, customers are showing strong interest in a wide range of Caribbean cruises, particularly those that either depart from or focus on non-US gateway ports. These itineraries appeal to guests seeking a smoother travel experience, whether sailing within the Caribbean itself or arriving via transatlantic routes.

One of the most popular options includes cruises from Barbados, which provide direct access to the southern Caribbean and allow guests to explore islands such as St Lucia, Grenada and Antigua without the need to visit US ports. Barbados has become a key departure point for those looking to maximise time in the Caribbean while avoiding additional border requirements.

There is also continued demand for cruises from Puerto Rico, which offer an alternative Caribbean gateway for guests seeking itineraries that focus on island hopping rather than US mainland calls. Many of these sailings are highly port-intensive, with cruise lines such as Virgin Voyages, Norwegian Cruise Line and Princess Cruises operating round-trip itineraries from San Juan, allowing guests to maximise time in Caribbean destinations while combining their cruise with extended stays in the region.

In response to this growing demand, Paramount Cruises has also seen increased interest in combined land and sea itineraries that allow guests to enjoy more of the Caribbean without visiting the USA. One example includes a luxury all-inclusive stay in Barbados with an all-inclusive Caribbean cruise onboard Azamara, offering the opportunity to experience both a resort stay and a destination-focused cruise within a single, seamless itinerary.

“Many of our customers are actively looking for Caribbean cruises that do not involve visiting the USA, whether for personal preference, convenience or itinerary flexibility,” said Marco Macchieraldo, Head of Product for Paramount Cruises. “By offering a wide range of Caribbean-focused sailings and curated land-and-sea itineraries, we are able to give guests more choice and control over how they experience the region.”

Paramount Cruises continues to expand its portfolio of Caribbean itineraries, helping customers identify cruise routes that match their preferred destinations, departure points and travel requirements.
