On November 4, 2025, the 2025 China Printing Entrepreneurs Forum, organized by the China Printing Association, was grandly held at the China–Arab Economic and Trade Exchange Center in Dubai.
Nearly 100 participants—including industry leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs, and legal experts from China and the UAE—gathered to discuss the future of printing industry globalization and intelligent transformation.
As an invited keynote speaker, Mr. Zhang Dianbin, Chairman of Beijing SINOMV Technologies Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled “Empowering Printing with AI: Driving Progress and Change.”
His talk focused on the revolutionary applications of artificial intelligence in printing quality inspection, production optimization, and predictive maintenance, offering forward-looking insights into the industry’s intelligent evolution.

From Manufacturing to Intelligent Manufacturing
Mr. Zhang emphasized that AI is accelerating the transformation of printing from traditional “manufacturing” to intelligent “smart manufacturing”, significantly improving productivity, product consistency, and cost efficiency.
He noted that AI-driven technologies not only enhance production processes but also strengthen the global competitiveness of Chinese printing enterprises, enabling them to build sustainable advantages in high-end international markets.
Fifteen Years of Innovation — Leading AI Vision Inspection in Printing
Empowering Printing with AI is not only SINOMV’s vision but also a reflection of its 15 years of deep commitment to advancing printing technology.
As a high-tech enterprise specializing in AI-based industrial vision inspection and smart factory solutions, SINOMV has achieved nationwide recognition for its strong R&D and implementation capabilities.
The company’s customers now include 95% of Xinhua printing houses and major publishing printers across China, with market leadership extending to Europe, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
From its early work in banknote inspection, SINOMV has expanded into publishing, packaging, food and beverage, and steel manufacturing, contributing valuable experience to China’s journey toward intelligent manufacturing.
AI-Powered Quality Control Across the Entire Printing Process
By integrating AI vision inspection into every stage of printing—prepress, printing, and postpress—SINOMV has established a fully digital quality management system.
Through deep learning algorithms, the system continuously learns from real defect data, becoming more accurate and intelligent over time while reducing false detection rates.
Mr. Zhang shared the successful case of Nanjing Amity Printing Co., Ltd., which produces multilingual publications for global distribution and demands exceptional print precision.
SINOMV’s AI-driven file comparison software solved traditional challenges such as missing screens and color deviations, enabling automatic book-level alignment and batch comparison—making SINOMV the first company in China and abroad to accomplish this project.
Other industry-leading innovations include:
- Color Inspection System — Ensures color consistency and provides results that can serve as certification references (e.g., C9 standard) and ink adjustment guidance for press operators.
- Rotary Precision Waste Removal System — Automatically identifies and removes single, alternate, or continuous waste sheets with a rejection rate of only 0.2%–0.5%, eliminating the need for manual re-sorting.
- Book Appearance Six-Side Inspection System— Detects issues such as folded corners, trimming defects, and rough edges, automatically removing defective products.
Breaking Data Silos — Enabling Intelligent Management
Mr. Zhang also highlighted that many printing companies underutilize their production and inspection data, leaving valuable insights untapped.
SINOMV’s AI Inspection Workstation addresses this challenge by integrating production, inspection, logistics, and management systems into a unified platform.
Several leading enterprises—including Liaoning Xinhua Printing Co., Henan Xinhua Printing Group, Xinjiang Jinban Printing Co., and Jiangsu Phoenix Xinhua Printing Group—have adopted SINOMV’s system to achieve intelligent management upgrades.
The AI Inspection Workstation synchronizes data across departments in real time, enabling visualized process monitoring and shifting management from experience-driven to data-driven.
It can also link with production orders to enforce equipment use standards and leverage large AI models to analyze defect data, guiding process optimization and quality improvement—creating a complete management feedback loop.
Commitment to Smart Manufacturing and Industry Growth
Mr. Zhang concluded that only by developing products from the perspective of production processes and on-site applications can companies truly solve industry challenges—this is the key to SINOMV’s continued leadership.
Through persistent innovation and industry dedication, SINOMV has been recognized as a National-Level “Little Giant” Enterprise and a National High-Tech Enterprise, as well as being designated by the National Press and Publication Administration as both a Digital Printing Reform Pilot Unit and a Supporting Enterprise for the Three-Year Action Plan for Printing Digitalization.
Looking ahead, SINOMV will remain committed to its mission of “Empowering Printing with AI to Drive Progress and Change,” working alongside printing enterprises to promote digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing, and the advancement of China’s printing industry from quantity to quality.
