Motion launches Get Fit Bingo, reviving the popular Fitbit Premium feature that Google discontinued after acquiring Fitbit, bringing back the gamified fitness challenges that users loved.

Motion today announced the launch of Get Fit Bingo, bringing back the beloved fitness gamification feature that Google discontinued after acquiring Fitbit in 2021. The feature challenges users to complete fitness "bingo cards" by achieving various health and activity goals.

Get Fit Bingo was a fan-favorite among Fitbit Premium subscribers before Google removed it as part of post-acquisition changes. Motion's version recreates the engaging gameplay while adding several new upgrades, including a gamified rewards structure and a new team-up mode where users can work together with friends or compete in friendly competition to complete bingo patterns. When Google discontinued Get Fit Bingo, users took to social media expressing disappointment at losing the feature, and still regularly mention it in discourse on Reddit and in other Fitbit communities. The company cited platform consolidation as the reason for removal.

In Get Fit Bingo, users start a game and receive a 5 x 5 bingo board. Each tile has an individual fitness goal (3,000 steps, burn 300kcal, walk 2.5km, etc). The size of these goals is tailored to the user's activity level to ensure the game is challenging but achievable.

Users then track their steps and workouts as they normally do on their phones or smartwatches, and use their activity to check off the tiles on the board. Each board has a target pattern which the user must complete to win. In-app achievements and prizes can be unlocked by checking off bonus tiles (non-target pattern tiles) and completing games.

Get Fit Bingo can be played in three different modes:

• Single player: Players compete against the clock to complete the target pattern

• Team-up: Users work together with up to 4 friends to complete the target pattern before time runs out (a harder board is generated for team play)

• Battle mode: Players compete against friends to see who can complete the target pattern first (each player has a separate board with tile goals at an appropriate level to keep the game fair)

Motion is available at https://motion-app.com/ with more info about Get Fit Bingo available at https://motion-app.com/get-fit-bingo/. Get Fit Bingo is free to download and play with limited games per month, with unlimited games available via subscription for $11.99/£9.99 a month.

Motion's Get Fit Bingo is available now on iOS and Android.
