Yeosu City announced the successful conclusion of the‘The 2nd Yeosu International Web Drama Film Festival Awards' which was held for three days from September 10-12 at the Yeosu Expo Convention Center. Through this film festival, Yeosu once again proved its status as a hub for web dramas and set its sights on next year.
This year's festival saw a total of 2,341 entries from 93 countries worldwide, nearly doubling last year's figure and demonstrating growing international interest and participation. Among these, 60 works were screened, and director Jung Bit-areum received a warm response through GV session, sharing candid stories about her work.
Notably, during the opening ceremony, the festival signed business agreements with the die Seriale in Germany and the Bilbao seriesland in Spain, marking a significant first step toward becoming a global web content hub.
Additionally, throughout the festival period, various events were held, including forum on web content and artificial intelligence(AI), flea market, and experiential programs, offering unique experiences not only for creators but also for general audiences. A candlelight concert featuring film OST performances added romance to Yeosu's autumn nights.
Actors Kang Ae-sim and Jung In-gi participated in the Red carpet and awards ceremony, while organizing committee members including actors Jang Dong-jik, Kim Myeong-guk, and Hyun Seok walked the red carpet, heightening the excitement. And The festival came to a spectacular close with the announcement of the award winners.

Meanwhile, Yeosu’s self-produced 10th tourism web drama “Shadow” won the “Yeosu Night Sea Award” in the “Yeosu Special Section,” once again proving the competitiveness and potential of local content.
