Renowned NYC dermatologist selected as L’Oreal’s Skincare.com expert consultant

The founder and Medical Director of Wall Street Dermatology in New York City, Dr. Julia Tzu, has been chosen as an expert consultant for L’Oréal’s website Skincare.com. L’Oréal is the world's largest cosmetics company.

In addition to her Manhattan-based private practice, Dr. Tzu is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York University School of Medicine, where she teaches surgical and cosmetic dermatology to resident physicians.

Dr. Tzu, a double board-certified dermatologist, is one of very few in the nation who is fellowship trained in both Mohs surgery (for skin cancer), cosmetic dermatology, and dermatopathology, making her one of the most highly trained and elite dermatologists in the world. She also specializes in reconstructive skin surgery, laser surgery, Botox and other cosmetic dermatology procedures.

As a consultant for Skincare.com, Dr. Tzu regularly contributes her medical expertise to a variety of skin and beauty oriented topics ranging from “What are broken capillaries?” to “What are the top ingredients to look for in an eye cream?”

She lectures nationally and has written 45 scientific articles and abstracts in international scientific journals such as Nature and leading dermatology journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

The media frequently call upon her to discuss skincare, skin health, and anti-aging to their audiences; she has appeared in Fox News, Harper’s Bazaar, Shape, Prevention, Marie Claire, SiriusXM Doctor Radio, RadioMD, and much more.

Dr. Tzu graduated at the top of her class with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University, and completed her medical training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, followed by residency training at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her advanced fellowship training at New York University Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
