The blend that started it all draws its character from two remarkable origins. Guatemalan beans arrive from the ACODIHUE cooperative in the Cuchumatan highlands of Huehuetenango, where indigenous women farmers have claimed ownership of their land and carry the Manos de Mujer certification in recognition of their leadership and resilience. Alongside them, Honduran beans sourced from AMPROCAL, the Asociación de Mujeres Productoras de Café La Labor, round out the cup. That organization represents more than 300 women producers committed to sustainable farming practices and specialty-grade quality. Both origins are washed-process coffees, chosen specifically for the clarity, balance, and gentle sweetness they bring to the finished blend.
The result in the cup is smooth and approachable, with tasting notes of caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate. The medium-dark roast profile was developed to hold up beautifully across every brewing method, from a camp percolator bubbling over an open fire to a precision pour-over in a home kitchen.
