Manhattan, New York - 26th March, 2018 - The Minister of Health, Government of Haryana, India welcomed NeoDocto Foundation to implement NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme in the state. Mr. Anil Vij, Honourable Minister for Health, Government of Haryana said that "We are grateful to NeoDocto Foundation for presenting a most effective malaria initiative programme which will be a difference creator in the improvement of malaria situation Haryana".
According World Malaria Report 2017 of World Health Organization (WHO), India is one of the three countries that accounts for 97% of the malaria cases in South East Asia. The Report stated that India contributed 89% of the incidence of malaria in the South-East Asia region. In 2016, an estimated US$2.7 billion was invested in malaria control and elimination efforts globally by governments of malaria endemic countries and international partners. The majority (74%) of investments in 2016 were spent in the WHO African Region, followed by the WHO regions of South-East Asia (7%), the Eastern Mediterranean and the Americas (each 6%) and the Western Pacific (4%).
The Health Department, Government of Haryana believes that the keystone to success is the ability to provide the highest quality programs with both demonstrable health benefits and fully satisfied patients. The mission is to improve the quality of life of the people by providing better health services. The Health Department is guided by the principle of World Health Organization’s health definition which states that "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely an absence of disease or infirmity". The efforts have been made to control malaria in every health centres of Haryana state.
