Canadian Centre for Addiction Partners with Former NHL Player Jim Thomson

As part of the Canadian Centre for Addiction’s committed mission to deliver quality therapy and addiction support, the CCFA has partnered with former NHL player Jim Thomson to expand the message on holistic healing and mental health support for individuals and families dealing with addiction.

“This partnership will help amplify our support and the resources available to those people needing help with addictions and mental health”, said Seth Fletcher, Certified Addictions Counsellor at CCFA,  “Jim’s commitment to helping others and his openness about his own journey means we can help lift the stigma associated with getting help for issues of addiction and mental health”.

The partnership will work through various channels including addiction support, treatment-motivation, outreach, and good-will ambassadorship.

“My own life journey has provided me with great empathy for those struggling with issues of addiction”, said Jim Thomson. “In partnering with CCFA, I know my personal compassion for people is carried on through their good work and will only increase my ability to help more people”.

“Our primary goal in working with Jim is to help anyone who is affected by addiction’, Seth Fletcher said, “Working with Jim means we can reach out not just to those suffering from addictions but their family and friends because addiction doesn’t just affect an individual”.

The Canadian Centre for Addiction is a 24/7 medically supervised private care facility that operates on a holistic basis addressing the individual needs of each person while supporting them along the path for lifetime success through mental health support, nutritional guidance, family counselling and lifetime aftercare.
