Temecula, CA - Brandie Kekoa of Be Kekoa, Inc. has been nominated for the 2019 National Association of Women Business Owners - Inland Empire (NAWBO) IE Awards.

NAWBO-IE seeks to recognize and honor the achievements of a truly deserving female entrepreneur in the areas of business, strength, ingenuity, community development, and digital innovation. The awards will be presented at the 2019 Amazing Women Event (AWE) Awards and Scholarship Banquet on March 8th at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California.

Brandie Kekoa is the CEO of Be Kekoa Inc., a minority-owned Healthy Hair Studio and beauty brand that specializes in textured hair types and premium natural skincare. With signature services, powerful products, and pioneering endeavors in fair trade commerce, Be Kekoa has created the blueprint for true inclusion of all hair types, and cultivated a relationship that has resulted in one of the highest quality beauty skincare products on the market today.

Be Kekoa's signature oil, Tamanu, prides itself as the only oil on the marketplace made with mana and the blessing of the French Polynesian people. Produced through a sacred and indigenous process that takes close to a full year, Tamanu oil is prized for its potency and its richness in Vitamins A, E, and Omegas 3, 6, and 9.  This antioxidant-rich oil aids in the stimulation and healthy growth of thinning  hair, prevention in breakage, improves scalp health and skin conditions, and provides anti-aging benefits and more. Be Kekoa’s family of Tamanu products includes the Original Tamanu Oil, CocoManu, Essential Tamanu Oil Blend, and Tahitian Vanilla Infused Tamanu Oil.

Brandie has been a true warrior in her community, and a leader as she continues to prove that businesses have an ethical responsibility to giving back.  She lives up to her brand and name Kekoa, meaning warrior in Hawaiian, by continuing to train many hair and skin care professionals, create jobs and positively impact the lives of the people in her community and abroad. She demonstrates an unbridled passion for her business and a deep sense of commitment to her community.

The final awards will be announced at the NAWBO Amazing Women Event on March 8th. The award selection committee consists of past award winners and NAWBO corporate partners.
