Ticketron the original source for event tickets first opened up operations in 1969. Selling tickets to your favorite concerts sports and Broadway events. Who remembers stopping at a Ticketron outlet in your local mall or waiting patiently on your phone to grab tickets to a major concert? Yes Ticketron was your only source for tickets long before a company called Ticketmaster came into play.
From 1969 to 1991 Ticketron dominated the ticket industry as the leader in electronic event ticketing. Then in 1991 Ticketron was acquired by Ticketmaster, who closed the doors on the ticketing giant as part of an acquisition to acquire data and customer base.
Ticketron as a brand sat dormant as Ticketmaster tried to sweep the brand under the rug. Instead turning to other brands and acquisitions to further its presence online.
Finally a small company, the Ticketron Network was able to acquire the complete Ticketron brand as well as the Federal Trademarks to this historic brand from the Ticketmaster company in 2017.
With the acquisition complete, the Ticketron Network is reinventing the Ticketron brand online. Joining forces with the largest online ticketing marketplace, Ticketron now takes its place among the top agencies offering its customers premium seting and tickets to otherwise sold out events. The first two sites of the Ticketron Network are fully functional Ticketron.com and Ticketron.us.
