New patient studies worldwide have revealed some encouraging news for the world’s 35 million men and 21 million women who suffer hair loss. Five of these studies were published this year in the Netherlands, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan and United States. (See below)
Each country was looking into a hair loss treatment using Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP. More research is being released every day regarding the effectiveness of PRP for hair loss, including some medical hair loss problems. PRP is still a relatively new treatment for male pattern baldness, and while it does not generate new hair follicles where none exist, the studies suggest it could be a good option for patients who don’t like the idea of hair transplants.
