Chef Diana Sabater is going to join COOK for a sold-out event on December 10th, celebrating Christmas the Puerto Rican way! In the “Island of Enchantment,” holiday celebrations are a serious affair, which extend for months and require delicate preparation. Diana will explore some of the best culinary traditions while offering class attendees samplings. The “Cop-Turned-Chef” is a true Philly legend. For over ten years, sheserved the city’s police department before eventually following her passion for the kitchen.
She began her food career working as a private chef in New York and has cooked for hot celebs such as Jennifer Lopez and Loren Ridinger and later appeared on the television show Chopped (Food Network), where she won three times and was named the “Ultimate Grand Chopped Champion.”Her special COOK event is reflective of her love for her heritage and Puerto Rican cuisine.Ticket sales will benefit the Ricky Martin Foundation for Puerto Rican Hurricane Relief. Diana will also host a Valentine’s Day class in February 2018.
