Blacksburg, VA – November 30, 2017: Darel Long developed an idea in 2010 about how to find ways to help people in need. This has evolved into Darel Long’s newest endeavor, Donation Spirit. This is a new entity that has been introduced online and can be found at donationspirit.org.
Long formed Donation Spirit as a self-funded entity that does not work with any government grants or other seed funds. The funding for the program works through the ongoing efforts from Long’s other endeavors including Darel’s Deals and West Indies Home Deals. The site and plans will be ready March 26, 2018.
Long developed this group as one that uses a retail store model. It will include gently used goods donated by different groups. This will work with a community outreach system where people can purchase these goods through an economical pricing model that makes the products available easier for all to access.
The goods that will be available for sale will vary throughout the year. But the main goal is to help raise funds for those in need. The profits that come off of Donation Spirit will go towards organizations that benefit the poor and those who are in need of assistance in many forms.

Darel Lynwood Long is forming Donation Spirit as a 501(c)(3) organization formed in the state of Virginia. The site was formed in 2014 and a reinstatement is expected to come about in December 2017.
