Starbucks Barista Jai Kelli Goes Viral With Music Video

Industry insiders agree 500,000 views on a music video in 1 week is impressive numbers for any independent musician. For a very close to unknown artist still working as barista at a Washington state Starbucks it points to a very bright future ahead. Enter West Coast Records' Jai Kelli and the viral video sensation "I Can't Get Enough".

July 13, 2017 - Americans certainly have a fascination with sudden success stories, something that's been a “go to” plot line for too many hit movies to count. In the case of Kennewick, Washington Starbucks, barista and aspiring musician Jai Kelli her recent world has followed just this kind of theme, with the exception that there's no scriptwriting involved – her story is as true as it is exciting.

West Coast Records signed Kelli, a ultra-skilled vocalist whose style comfortably moves from hip hop, to EDM, to pop recently dropped her new video for “I Can't Get Enough” on July 5th and to the surprise of all involved has seen 500K views and thousands of shares in just seven days, with passionate reviews pushing it towards breaking 1 million any day now. Hard working, talented and the mother of a young daughter working hard to make ends meet, all signs are pointing towards fans being able to see a star-in-the-making's dream come true, first hand.

“I'm just very blessed to have that many views on my video,” commented Kelli, who is joined on the track by label mates Quintin Kolt and Avery Azylum. “I'm thankful for my fans and all the people watching.”

Those people watching could even include Starbucks own leadership team, with the company having also gotten its start in Washington state, not far from Kennewick, in Seattle. Known for their pop-culture sensibilities it's not hard to image Kelli's still unfolding viral success story would appeal to the powerhouse coffee shop brand.

Kelli has credited her influences as stretching across the pop-star world, pointing to Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Lymon, Christina Aguilera, and Nicki Minaj as being particular inspirations. She's worked with Young Rich Nics, Quintin Kolt, and Avery Azylum since 2014, and in 2017 signed with her team ANE to label West Coast Records, which has quickly proven itself to be a quite fruitful collaboration.

West Coast Records certainly has seen her potential since day one and expects this to be just the beginning for a star who can make it all the way to the top.

Stevie Bundlez Melendez, Kelli's manager who also produced and directed “I Can't Get Enough”, remarked, “Jai is extremely talented, her voice is amazing and I believe she has what it takes to be on the next level!”

Expect Kelli to continue her studio work, high energy live shows (she has opened for superstars like Dej Loaf, Lil Wayne and Lil Dicky in the recent past) and to be starring and featured in more music videos, all building off the continued success of “I Can't Get Enough”. For the many fans that just can't get enough of Jai Kelli this is probably the best news of all.
