Delaware families make the important and exciting decision to adopt a child every single year. Initially, it’s normal for these prospective parents to mistakenly believe that they will be able to adopt faster if they seek an international adoption, because of a widespread myth that it’s difficult to adopt in the United States. Adoptions From The Heart, which has been providing adoption services to both pregnant women and prospective parents since 1985, is hoping to dispel that myth by providing an informational meeting called “Discover Domestic Adoption” for any interested parties.
This free, online webinar will provide information on the adoption process. Adoptions From The Heart is a non-profit agency that provides, open adoption services, international adoption home studies, private adoption assistance.
The agency focuses on all parts of the adoption “triad” - the birth mother, prospective parents, and child. Pregnant women can obtain medical care for both mother and child, join supportive counseling, and request help with legal assistance. Prospective parents will be guided through the open adoption process, learn about potential financial assistance programs, obtain the necessary clearances and home studies, and create their family profile through which they will be matched with a child. In addition to this, supportive counseling is available for adoptive parents and children.
Adoptions From The Heart, which has an office located in Wilmington, DE, has a non-discrimination policy and services are provided to clients regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, sex, or marital status.
The free webinar will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. and registration is required. Interested parties can register on the Adoptions From The Heart website.
