We spoke with Joanne Russels, who works business development manager for Outpak, and is helping to oversee the transition into warehouse supplies.
"We're really excited about this opportunity, to extend our service into supplying products which we know all our customers already need -" Joanne said. "Our online platform is almost complete, after which businesses and consumers will be able to order competitively priced packaging and warehouse supplies online, and have these delivered directly to their door."
We asked Joanne specifically what types of products which Outpak will be selling. "Definately there will be a core range of staple products, things which every business needs. Packaging supplies and the like. But we're not ruling out expanding into more specialised products if we identify a demand for a certain product, or a gap in the market. We have a very diverse customer base, and different types of businsesses do need different things."
We wrapped up our interview by asking Joanne what the Outpak brand represented, and how they wished to be identified in the market. "Outpak stands for the right product at the right price, delivered straight to the door of your business when you need it. This, coupled with good old-fashioned customer service is what sets us above many competitors who focus purely on price and volume."
The warehouse supplies industry in Australia is to a large extent dominated by volume importers, but with a sizeable range of products still being manufactured by Australian producers.
