KARYN WHITE is a household name when it comes to music. Her popularity in the late 80’s and 90’s with her number 1# billboard songs “Secret Rendezvous”, “Romantic” and the hit classic “Superwoman”. After a 17 year hiatus from the industry raising her daughter. Karyn returned to the business by starting her Independent Film, Music and TV production company Karyn White Enterprises (KWE) She released her first album in 2012 “Carpe Diem/ Seize The Day.” And begin acting. She was tapped to play the hilarious character Kym Banks in BET Centric sitcom ‘Beauty and The Baller” also appeared in American Bad Boy with Katt Williams. Karyn just finished Executive producing, co writing, starring and recording the soundtrack for her own film “Gale & The Storm” which is loosely based on her life. The Legendary Songtress is still touring all over the world.
About Beauty and The Baller
In this new series, Karyn plays the character Kym Banks. She's a Baller's ex wife, who is living the single life and a mother of three. Deena's single girlfriend who lives in the gated community of Beverlywood. "Black people NEED a good quality show like this that shows "Black Love for a change, not just black ratcheness."
This super dope television sitcom “Beauty and the Baller" premiere on BET Centric July 22 at 10 pm.

Karyn had a very strong beginning; from her guest vocal appearance with Jeff Lorber (Facts of Love) to her first megahit “Superwoman”, Karyn White made impact and gained several fans as well as earning recognition and awards domestically & internationally as well. The movie's synopsis revolves around a revolutionary music producer who links up with a legendary soul singer and tries to convince her to sing again. White executive produced, co-wrote and starred in the film. White is also executive produced, co-wrote and recorded 8 songs on the soundtrack for "Gale & the Storm”. The soundtrack is a brilliant fusion of cosmic funk, soul, rock and R&B.
