Acting School in Los Angeles Offers Free Talent Evaluation for Kids and Teens

Gary Spatz's The Playground is offering free talent evaluation for kids and teens this summer

The Playground, a renowned conservatory for acting in Los Angeles and Orange County, is now offering free talent evaluations for youngsters (6 to 17 years old) one hour every Saturday and Sunday provided they are accompanied by parents or guardians.

This acting school coaches young artists with or without experience in movie and TV acting. The Playground is under the tutelage of Gary Spatz, an American acting teacher who grew up in Miami and New York before moving to Washington DC where he attended college and eventually settled down in Los Angeles.

The on-camera acting conservatory is a place for young people to practice their on-stage skills. They can become creative and perform remarkably before a big audience. Teachers from The Playground are determined to transform amateurs into excellent actors for film, television and commercials.

The Playground acting school also educates their parents about the business aspect of this particular industry. Different elements of acting are taken up such as auditioning, enhancement, scene and character studies.

“The Playground is not simply a talent agency. It is a reputable acting conservatory which trains teenagers and children the rudiments of communications for a possible acting profession,” Gary Spatz explained.

For kids, acting classes offer multiple opportunities and benefits. Each student is taught the art of curiosity, becoming playful and emotional, performing naturally, acquiring passionate characteristics, and emoting humor. Everyone can have fun while studying at The Playground.

The children also learn how to develop self-confidence especially in front of the camera and tell the story clearly and convincingly to spectators. The Playground makes sure that young boys and girls become experts in the art of public speaking.

Kids are also trained on how to bring life to characters they portray using a mixture of empathy, understanding, body language, and emotions. They are taught about the importance of teamwork or working together in learning the essence of leadership as well as supporting roles.

Courses at The Playground include Helping Develop Self-Confidence, Young Actors’ Program, Acting Studio, Preteen Acting Program, Children’s Acting Program, Teen Acting Program, and Young Adult Acting Program.

Gary Spatz has been teaching and training teens and children for more than 25 years. His teaching experience includes the Mickey Mouse Club and Everybody Loves Raymond. He has collaborated with successful Hollywood celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Jessica Biel and Elijah Wood.

Young people of various ages enroll in The Playground’s TV and Film acting conservatory which was developed personally by Gary Spatz. Graduates become well-versed not only in acting but acquire skills in reading comprehension, listening and speaking as well.
