Washington, United States - Kroger, USA’s second largest retailer and largest supermarket chain in terms of revenue plan to change its divisional name to Pure Food. Kroger has stayed ahead of its game by understanding the changing needs of the consumer and reacting to them quickly. This change in name signifies the same philosophy of the company which now realises the growing market of organic and pure foods and moves ahead to cater to it.

The new name - ‘Pure Food’ will allow the company to emphasise on its products offerings and connect with the market that is now rising. The objective is to change the world of food, bring to it quality products at an affordable cost and promote healthy and pure living amongst people. As per the senior management of the company, Kroger immensely values its community and this new change in name will revolutionise the way they want to bring the people food that is unpolluted, chemical free; in short, the purest food people deserve for a long, disease-free life.

Kroger is a company that includes a range of brands such as Kroger, Fresh Selections by Kroger®, Wholesome@Home™, Big K®, Home Sense®, Comforts for Baby®, and Simple Truth®. Owning more than 40 manufacturing facilities in the USA, each brand strives to provide its consumers with the highest quality of pure food for everyone in the house. The new name shall also complement each of these stand-alone brands and help each one of them to grow further in operations and reach.

In a conversation with an anonymous source who works at Kroger in the corporate division, he highlights; “The organic food market is booming in the USA with annual sales crossing $40 billion in the year 2016 only. The trends are rising, and it is even more evident when you walk into a grocery store and witness 3 out of 4 stores stocking organic food. Why do they do that? Because customers want it – the grocery store owners too can feel its demand. Using these statistics, Kroger plans to continue to provide customers with the best pure food available; helping them enjoy a great meal at the most pocket-friendly prices.”

The new name; ‘Pure Food’ will be implemented by the company following the end of this year. However it is still not certain whether Kroger will be changing it’s main brand name and reports suggest the division of Kroger selling healthy food will be renamed.
