The presentation discussed the trend toward fork truck free environments in the material handling industry. Brown provided insight into the new way of manufacturing including definitions, examples, and benefits. Topics discussed include cost reduction, increased efficiency, increased productivity, safety benefits, and legislative influences. The first steps needed to start a fork truck free journey were shared including the process of plant analysis and the many options available when considering a fork free truck environment. Real-life case studies and statistics were shared.
