“Jot” designed for simplifying the daily routine planner

May 17, 2017 - Sham Williams of Brandon, Missouri is seeking $2500 in pledges for his new Jot planner concept by May 27. With 18 days to go, Williams has raised $390 from 14 backers. This is an “all or nothing” pledge drive which means the full goal amount must be reached if the project is to go through.

“JOT is an undated, simplified method of combining planning tools for both your personal and professional life,” Williams stated. “From daily spreads, grocery lists and pages simply for doodling, it is designed to minimize the hassle of keeping up with our daily lives.”

Williams developed his online retail outlet, called Ink and Paper LLC as a way to sell products that will simplify people’s daily routines. The Jot planner is his first item, developed to keep track of his own personal and professional needs.

Williams found other planners were either too cumbersome or inadequate. “If you are anything like me, finding a planner that will help organize your personal and professional life can be a difficult task,” according to Williams. “After years of planner usage, and literally hundreds of planners later, I realized I had a real problem on my hands: I could not find a planner that worked for me.”

The Jot planner booklet has several features in its 60 pages – such as its monthly calendar page, monthly goal page, five weekly pages, 35 daily planning pages, two bill trackers, three grocery lists, and more.

The Jot designed as a one-month planner to be used then filed away. Ink and Paper LLC will offer several planner packages: the single booklet; the quarterly, three booklets; or the yearly planner, 12 booklets.

There are a 11 pledge levels with rewards valued from $1 to $550. Rewards include digital and printed planners, and Jot t-shirts. The latest tentative delivery date is August 2017.

“While we do not expect any major mishaps or delays, we do realize that this product's manufacturing is in human hands,” he said. “If issues arise, we will do our best to communicate those as far in advance as possible and diligently work to offer all possible solutions for resolve.”
