Upcoming Season 3 Of Twin Peaks To Draw Attention To The Best Of The Pacific Northwest

USA - Twin Peaks, the cult, fan-favorite show created and produced by cinematic mastermind David Lynch, is set to make its long-awaited return to the small screen on May 21st, 2017. Picking up the story 25 years after the dramatic finale of the show’s second season, the new limited series is a continuation of the original Twin Peaks plot line - and not a reboot. In light of the media storm that followed the announcement of the show’s comeback, residents of the areas surrounding the Salmo-Priest Wilderness, and particularly locals of Snoqualmie, North Bend and Fall City, expect an influx of Twin Peaks fans, who will be on the lookout for the locations where some of the show’s most iconic scenes were shot.

The Snoqualmie Falls, in particular, are one of the most popular destinations for Twin Peaks aficionados, having been prominently featured in both the series as well as in the movie Fire Walk with Me, which was released as a prequel to Twin Peaks. Located on the Snoqualmie River, the Falls attract an average of 1.5 million tourists annually, making for one of the most popular attractions in Washington State.

Fall City, which is just a stone’s throw away from the Snoqualmie Falls, is fast becoming one of the top places to visit for Twin Peaks fans and nature enthusiasts alike. With less than 2,000 inhabitants, Fall City retains the charm and authenticity that can only be found in small-town America, while its proximity to the numerous hiking, biking and walking trails found across Snoqualmie Valley makes it a magnet for those looking to explore some of the most beautiful patches of land in the Pacific Northwest.

Mrs. Mary Smith, The Roadhouse Restaurant & Inn’s media representative, spoke of how “The Twin Peaks Effect” has boosted Fall City’s tourism, saying that “We serve thousands of visitors who come through our picturesque town on their way to the Snoqualmie Falls. Many of them, who have been lifelong fans of Twin Peaks, make a point to come by our restaurant, as it was featured as an image on the set of the show during its first season. It’s always a pleasure to not only be recognized for our hospitality and service – but also for our small contribution to the iconic, contemporary cultural landmark that is Twin Peaks, too.”
