C.U.R.E. is the new cancer awareness jewelry collection which is developed with an aim to spread breast cancer awareness in the Bahamas. The jewelry collection of fine and exclusive bracelets and pendants made of precious stones, sterling silver, and solid gold will help raise awareness and prove as a symbol to pay tribute to cancer victims and cancer survivors. The fundraising campaign for this project will be launched on 28th of May, 2017 through which the users will be able to order the bracelets. For every bracelet that is sold, $25 will be given to support The Cancer society of the Bahamas.
Breast cancer is an epidemic, especially in the Bahamas where it is the highest rate of breast cancer cases per capita in the whole world. Despite such alarming statistics, there is a lack of awareness about this deadly disease which is why the project C.U.R.E. is developed. Breast cancer can be successfully prevented or fought from its inception if there is sufficient awareness among women.
The cancer society of Bahamas is an active organization that works to raise awareness about breast cancer and also assists cancer patients. For quite some time, the organization is doing constant work to educate more people about the disease, while supporting the patients in the process, but the lack of resources stops them from doing more. The C.U.R.E. project will provide financial support to the organization by selling the bracelets through the crowdfunding website, Indiegogo.
C.U.R.E. will consist of precious jewelry such as bracelets and pendants made of sterling silver or gold. The exclusive collection is to honor the fallen and cherish the living. Unlike the other symbols of cancer awareness such as ribbons or t-shirts, the C.U.R.E. bracelets can be worn more often as a statement piece of jewelry and customized as per the preference. It also makes a unique and meaningful gift to loved ones.
There are three options available with the C.U.R.E. pendant which are the ‘Survivor’ pendant called the "Sylvia Scriven Pendant", the The "Fallen Angel" or "Cindi Smith Pendant", both of them named after a cancer survivor and one who passed away due to it respectively. The fundraising campaign will also offer a special offer to the Zeta Phi Beta sorority organization that’ll include a special bracelet made with lapis lazuli gemstones and white freshwater pearls to reflect the spirit of the Zeta Phi Beta organization and pendants.
The brand behind the C.U.R.E. jewelry collection is 'Beach By Jewel', a new brand of luxurious swimwear. The brand stands for the strength of women which is why they have launched this cause. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $50,000 so that they can successfully support the cancer society of Bahamas.
